This year I spent Christmas with my Family up in Rural Iowa. Iowa is not the most friendly state for nonresident hunters but I was able to snag a Woodbury County nonresident holiday Doe tag. Not many tags are issued.
Special Holiday Season is muzzleloader and bow only so I picked up a Traditions Pursuit Ultralight. I topped it with an old Leopold M8 fixed 4 power scope. I zeroed it issuing Barnes Spitfire Mz 250 gr with 150 gr. Triple 7 pellets. It has quite a bit more recoil than I anticipated but then again 250 gr@2200fps is nothing to scoff at.
