Last Fall, I had a nice core group of three or four fellow hunters, some experienced, some novices. Since I started hunting, I’ve had a rather large cluster of my NYC friends say that they wish to also take up hunting. To help them, I’ve started organizing field trips out to gun and bow ranges, the first time in early February. Once again, we went out to . One of the co-owners and his daughter have been very gracious hosts and quite willing to teach total novices the fundamentals. The other co-owner however… Let’s just say, I prefer the other more. I was the only person in our troupe who brought a bow, so I stayed on the 20m line. Then rental bows, they are best used on the short line…
Folks had an enjoyable time, so we’ll be heading out there again soon.
